Calgary, Alberta (April 11, 2022) — Avmax Aviation Services Inc. is happy to announce that it has recently been granted Design Organization Approval (DOA) by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The GCAA approval has been granted on the basis of Avmax’s existing Transport Canada Design Approval Organization covering the design and certification of new modifications and repairs on UAE registered aircraft. Under the GCAA approval, Avmax is able to support avionics, electrical modifications, interior modifications, structures modifications and repairs.
“In addition to design and certification services, Avmax Engineering has a wide range of STC’s for regional aircraft which are now available to operators of A6 registered aircraft. Obtaining UAE GCAA approval is another step in our expanding footprint which already includes STC’s validated with the FAA, EASA, CAAC, AFAC, DGCA India and ECAA.” said Jonathan Stodel, Director of Engineering at Avmax.
